Indivisible Rochester invites all area progressive groups to join us in the effort to bring much needed progressive change to Monroe County with the Monroe County Family Court Candidates Summit.

leaders and members
Join us at the Candidate Summit to:
• Learn more about the Family Courts
Candidates and WHY we should support them.
• Identify and coordinate election efforts
in support of Democratic Family Court Candidates Fatimat Reid and Zuleika
Shepard.
Family Court has a direct
impact on families, particularly those of color from underprivileged
backgrounds.
Ms. Reid and Ms. Shepard are two highly
successful lawyers with deep experience in Family Court. They also personally understand the
challenges that confront many of the families that appear before Family
Court. Importantly, the Monroe County
Democratic Party’s Judicial Screening Committee deemed both, Highly
Qualified. In addition to legal excellence,
these candidates will bring much needed diversity to Family Court. The Republican Candidates will continue the
total lack of diversity, which has plagued Family Court for three decades.
Now is the time to put our progressive
values into action. This meeting will be
aimed at identifying specific tasks each of us can undertake in order to
correct this terrible lack of diversity.
